I was watching a starwars tv show recently that depicted a planet at the center of the Galaxy (“Coruscant”) which is a planet that is completely covered in one giant city.
The episode depicted two characters going to visit a sort of ‘park’ or monument which had the very highest peak on the planet poking out of a section of cement (surrounded in security railings and drones) about 3 meters, and one of the characters explained how that was the very last natural piece of the planet that is exposed, the rest is covered in city. One of the most disturbing things for me, is that in this depiction, the city planet was not depicted as the center of evil or the empire, no, it was shown as no more than a busy planet of democracy and bureaucracy, businessmen and industrialists, all just “trying to make a living” having achieved the construction of a ‘wonderful’ civilization.
Humans have even come up with a name for such an abomination. They call it an “Ecumenopolis” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ecumenopolis (a planet completely covered in one giant city). Considering it is a thing that has been given a name and is depicted in lofty starwars scifi scenes it almost seems as though some humans think such a thing is worth striving towards creating.
I feel that if we created such a thing it would be like creating a rock hard capsule that seals our heart and minds off from our soul. We would become vacant empty versions of humans, driven by perpetual superficialities.. living a pointless existence while patting ourselves on the back for how civilized we all are.
All I know is, if the time comes when human children end up “..on a concrete world..” “compensating for the lost connection to a living world with a burgeoning array of virtual substitutes” I hope I am not around to see it.
As for which star wars Character Trudeau would be best cast as, perhaps a random brainless droid or a mid level storm trooper? He seems to be nothing more than a glorified puppet with narcissism issues.
Your description and commentary on the Ecumenopolis of Coruscant is chilling and apt. As you mentioned, I feel as if there are a significant amount of humans who don’t look unfavorably at this possibility. That is scary. I think it fits in with the threat of AI, 15 minute cities, the repression of the human spirit through reductive materialism and the technological transhumanists’ aspiration of the Singularity.
We will have to weather a schism of humanity if all this unfolds. There will be the biological ancestor-linked humans with akashic records and an organic collective consciousness with perhaps a myco-transhumanism aspect and then there will be the Borg, the zombies, the NPCs, the soulless automaton workers of the great mainframe SkyNet.
That is part of my vision. It is an alternative to a wired or nnEMF internet of things. It is antithetical to a machine-based future.
It is an organic, telepathic, transcendent psychedelic connection to Source that can be utilized as easily - in a decentralized and empowering way - as the internet.
Regarding the darker timeline that stretches into the shadows on the fear based side of the widening schism present in human civilization, since you mentioned the Borg, I would like to focus in on another scifi universe that I feel offers some worth while insight to another aspect of this prominent fork in the road we currently face as a species.
This exploration of the 'dark timeline' ("the Borg, the zombies, the NPCs, the soulless automaton workers of the great mainframe SkyNet.") takes the form of a sort of cautionary tale presented in an episode of Star Trek.
It was in one of the new Startrek series called Picard in which the main character (played by Patrick Stewart) from the series that ran in the 90-s (Star Trek: The Next Generation) is taking the lead once again. In this particular episode called Penance (Season 2, Episode 2, which you can watch here: https://putlocker.pe/watch-tv/watch-star-trek-picard-online-28477.8158261) the main characters have been thrusted into a parallel timeline in which humanity has embarked down a dark path.
Instead of unfolding in the original way humanity did in Gene Rodenberry’s startrek universe (humans choosing to let go of arbitrary external differences, removing the shackles of a fiat money system and going out into the universe in the spirit of exploration, diplomacy, peace keeping and humanitarian efforts through their “starfleet” organization) they instead allowed fear, ego and xenophobia to guide them (resulting in a disturbing authoritarian fascistic interstellar capable humanity going out into space to wage war, steal resources and commit genocide).
I found this dichotomy in the timelines they portrayed to be very pertinent to this choice point our family of humanity stands at now. I feel that portrayal actually embodies the very reason why many advanced interstellar cultures are here observing us closely now. Having inevitably observed the development of countless worlds at our stage of social/spiritual unfolding, they would have seen conscious beings on other worlds annihilate themselves (and perhaps others in their vicinity along with them) as some failed to transition from ‘adolescence’ into ‘adulthood’. I think many of the beings that watch our world now are concerned that humanity (if it remains driven by the consciousness at the root of our current dominant institutions) does indeed have the potential to go down the dark path portrayed in the startrek episode I described above. As they observe our world, we must seem like a toddler waving a loaded gun around a crowded room.
As I have discussed with you elsewhere, it hurts my heart to think that on a handful of occasions humans in covert military programs have in fact managed to aim advanced weapons systems at the craft of interstellar visitors and destroy or force them to crash for nefarious reasons.
Knowing this has happened, and seeing the unfolding of various events and institutions positioning themselves (the creation of the “Space Force” military arm in the US and the increasing mainstream media coverage of military footage of visiting craft being described in the context of a “national security threat” as well as other indications) has resulted in me having serious concerns that the next big manufactured target of the Problem-Reaction-Solution regime could be our cosmic neighbors.
Let us pray that enough people can become pre-emptively aware of such a potential psyop as to de-fang it before it strikes so that much of humanity (that is still susceptible to false flag psyop operations) is not herded down the path to an even darker timeline.
I just want to be clear in stating that I am not recommending the “Picard” Startrek series as some source of truth or valuable guidance (neither ethically or scientifically) in general. On the contrary, if you watch the whole series, it seems to be subtly (and sometimes not so subtly) promoting the transhumanist agenda, Digital IDs, Brain chips, GMO propaganda and the glorification of highly centralized and/or high tech dependent food production systems.
At one point in the series, the story goes in the completely opposite direction to how the “Borg” were portrayed in the StarTrek movies and series of the past (in which transhumanism was demonized by portraying the cybernetic Borg race as a souless, imperialistic, ravenous, collective of transhuman and trans-what ever other species they could assimilate AI uplinked/brain chipped entities) and instead glorified transhumanism (putting the Picard character in a synthetic body) and put the Borg on a pedestal as saviors (in this recent “Picard” series).
I still think the specific episode I linked above offers some interesting insight and analogies to the potential time lines this fork in the road we stand at now (as a species) can lead us down, but I wanted to make it clear I do not endorse much of what that series attempts to promote in general.
Looking back on Star Trek Next Generation with what I know now I see that while perhaps well intended (and containing some helpful sign posts in the stories about how we might embark on pathways to advance our species and better our civilization) it was also a show that re-enforced several detrimental (and fallacious) mentalities.
For one, there is the whole built in anthropocentric portrayal of humanity being of some kind of central importance in the Galaxy (Earth having started the “Starfleet” and “Federation” that so many other technologically advanced intelligent species chose to be part of in the story). That is just flat out illogical (even based on the meager astrophysics data we had available in the 90-s). We are on a relatively young planet, orbiting a middle aged star way in the outskirts of the Milky Way. Based on the premise of the show (which was vaguely atheistic) the math indicates that humans would be (and are) the new kids on the block, and when we go out to explore we would inevitably encounter species millions of years ahead of us, which would have inevitably already formed their own “federations”. So having humans at the center of all the action in the Galaxy is just delusional ego flattery.
I also remember that the show glorified technology that uses Restriction Enzyme based / Recombinant DNA Gene splicing technology for growing food in their hydroponics bay. That is the same technology that was used to make all the garbage GMO Corn and Soy that is flooded onto the market today. As I exposed in this article https://gavinmounsey.substack.com/p/the-story-of-ge-agriculture-traversing? gene splicing and gene editing technology is a horrible idea in any situation.
Thus, the "Startrek Universe/vision" was certainly not perfect (neither the original Gene Rodenberry version nor the newer stories) and should be viewed with a grain of salt (as all other hollywood/tv depictions should be, if one chooses to expose themselves to such things at all).
I concur with your assessment and agree that is it scary.
I dig your vision of the ".. biological ancestor-linked humans with akashic records and an organic collective consciousness" Reading that part of your comment made me think of the lyrics of a song I stumbled across recently called "Reaching Humanity" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJ6tWWtmWKw )
"I pay attention to the voice inside
Don’t seek direction from the world outside
Cuz these illusions fool once, fool twice
But I keep coming back to the light
I lose my patience and I lose my way
Different paths, different colors but we bleed the same (bleed the same)
I see you shining and I’ve got to say
Amplifying this reflection gonna spark a flame
I feed the fire and I call the rains
Critical mass we at last attain
The hundredth monkey taking off the chains
Cuz once you see the game the world don’t look the same
I see through the lies televised to shape my mind reality
I see through the maze and ways they laid to shape society
I break through the chains and grid they built to keep an eye on me
I fly through the storm singing my song, reaching humanity
Observing several synchronicities
Exploring the mystery
Feel the memory of something greater
Connection to my creator
Sense that history might be contradictory
Maybe there’s some trickery involved
As I dissolve I’m a fierce meditator
Conscious penetrator of nonlinear reality
Collect nuggets for my masterpiece
Fear plummets as I ascend to the summit
Overseeing new fronteirs I’m an engineer
Passionate for art that feels intricate and infinite
Once took a visit from some extradimensional beings
Not scared of their unconventionality
Developed a new rationality
Which affect my personality dramatically
They systematically sent me greetings meanings teachings
Lasting more than an evening
Best part they weren’t preachy or greedy
But seemed generally concerned
With my development as a force of intelligence
Select a frequency of highest resonance.
I see through the lies televised to shape my mind reality
I see through the maze and ways they laid to shape society
I break through the chains and grid they built to keep an eye on me
I fly through the storm singing my song, reaching humanity"
May our collective aligned intent to co-create a consensus reality based in truth, integrity, humility, symbiosis, courage and peace act as the scaffolding for a path we can build for ourselves (and generations yet unborn) to walk towards lasting resilience, spiritual unfolding and true wealth (of the soul).
I do like some reggae style and soulful hip hop tunes but to be honest I am not really a fan of the whole robot voice synthesizer thing he did with the vocals in that track I linked above, but the lyrics make up for it for me, so i dig it despite the robot voice synthesizer noise.
What are your preferred styles of music and/or musicians?
I created the playlist in the hopes the tunes could offer some solace, hope, inspiration and healing in these times when we are being targeted by various oligarchs in this final push of imperialistic colonialism as they attempt to conquer and occupy some of the last sovereign territories on Earth (the human body and mind).
If you know any songs that have a message that you feel aligns with the spirit of the playlist I would welcome any suggestions for add ons! 🙂
I pride myself in being such an irrelevant throwback that I can say I've never seen a single Star Wars episode in my entire life. My chickens are ample entertainment. Thank you Hollywood, but no thanks.
The digital matrix is the centrifugal bumblepuppy and soma of our times. Its purpose, paradoxically, is not "connection", unless by that we mean connection as a toaster plugs in to a wall socket. Its purpose, rather, among other assaults, is a kind of targeted micro-atomization of the entire population.
I had a rooster a number of years ago that does upon recollection remind me of our current PM. He had a certain swarthy, arrogant demeanour. I've long since metabolized and digested him. He is serving a useful purpose now at the bottom of one of my apple trees.
I applaud you for keeping from any influence by Hollywood and the mainstream culture. It came to me from my family but early on I was able to decipher its agenda and create at least some immunity. I use it now and then to peer into the forces of indoctrination and fortify myself against it. There are some bright lights though that are probably echoes of good literature and philosophy.
As far as your digested rooster and our PM, they probably reach their greatest equivalency as you were clearing your bowels.
Fancy seeing you here my friend! I admire your steadfast choice to find entertainment in the beauty of nature and real life (rather than the digital junk food and sometimes straight up psychological trojan horse mind warping psyop material that gets pumped out in the movies and on TV).
I will admit I have always been a Startrek fan since I was a kid (something about the depiction of a society without money where people choose to do what they love for the love of the thing and to help protect/nurture others who cannot protect themselves always appealed to me) but Starwars is not really my thing (my wife likes the new tv shows with that little baby yoda character so I watch it with her).
I am curious, how many movies (and/or TV shows) would you say you have watched in your life?
Though I was raised in a TV-centric evening family time household, I thankfully spent most of my days out exploring the forests, rivers, canyons and mountains of BC (and not glued to tvs and video games as many of my peers were).
haha a Trudeau-esk rooster eh!? :) We had one on my parents farm that was more like Trudeau Senior (still very swarthy and arrogant, but less of an obvious coward than Justin, and more willing to stand behind his domineering and bullying choices). The rooster (a big black 'french moran' type I believe) was really ferocious actually and would always try to sneak up on us and scratch the heck out of our faces. I had to train my little sister to walk to the school bus with a baseball bat to protect herself. Then one day it went too far and took a chunk out of her cheek so my dad shot the rowdy rooster. It survived somehow so we ended up giving it to a fair in Rock Creek, BC (where it won all kinds of awards apparently). But I digress.. I like your approach to the rowdy rooster in your flock.
Speaking of apple trees, our 7 year old Wild Kazakh Apple Tree (which was grown form seed) is loaded with blossoms and I am pretty excited to see how the fruit turn out this year. I will likely have enough seeds to share this fall if you want some :)
Good exchange here. TV is programming. Literally. I have watched more than I should have but usually not the worst of it. Now, it is extremely rare for me to do so.

Also, please tell me more about what a "myco-transhumanism aspect" potential for the future of humanity could/would involve.
Could it involve stimulating increased levels of neurogenesis and synaptogenesis through utilizing something like the so called "Stamets Stack" ( https://thethirdwave.co/microdosing-psilocybin-mushrooms-stamets-stack/ ) ?
If so, I am 100% on board! :)
