The Fourth Estate's Betrayal
Big Media's complicity in pandemic malfeasance has been crucial to Big Pharma and Big Government's power moves
There’s been a lot of wrongdoing during the last three years. If someone cannot admit that, they are probably living on a different planet, or maybe they are now an NPC in the Metaverse full time.
It might be reasonable to disagree on the extent of wrongdoing, what is included, what is error and what it premeditated. However, I cannot agree that there has been simply a litany of well intentioned slip ups.
Even if I concede that some mistakes came from places of good intention and amplified fear or concern, I cannot accept that the agents responsible for the many harms of the last 34 months did not have sufficient information and opportunity to make efforts to correct their ways. People and organizations have knowingly perpetuated harmful practices way beyond the scope of reasonable oversight.
Who fills the top of the list of these agents of suffering?
I won’t ponder this too long but what just comes to mind - excluding particular individuals responsible - is the following list (in no particular order).
Big Pharma - special mention to Pfizer, Moderna, J&J, AstraZeneca, and their subsidiaries, the FDA, the CDC, the WHO, etc. as well as their funders and enablers like the Gates Foundation, the WEF, Johns Hopkins, etc.
Big Gov - special mention to all the US, the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, France, the rest of the G7 countries, the CCP, and their agencies like the FDA, the CDC, and the equivalent in other nations.
Big Media - special mention to CNN, the WaPo, the NYT, Rolling Stone, MSNBC, The Atlantic, CBC, BBC, The Guardian, The Toronto Star, and so many more. While I have not mentioned more right-leaning outlets, they have had their fair share of abhorrent practices and reporting during the pandemic; however, some of come around to a degree lately.
Big Education - special mention to Imperial College, Johns Hopkins, UBC, UWO, McGill, UofT, Harvard, likely all the Ivy League schools, and so many more who pushed mandates, perpetuated bad research and science, and never stepped up as the centres of critical thinking they were designed to be. *(I won’t get into this sector here but will another time).

But who is most complicit? Who holds the greatest onus for these crimes against humanity?
Well, the obvious answer would be those who planned them, or those who enacted them, or those who followed the orders wittingly with knowledge of harm. That seems to be what most would say. This is the most logical perspective. However, let’s take a closer look at the perpetrators, and what underlies their fundamental existence.
Big Pharma
Pharmaceutical companies by their very definition are companies in an economic system which promotes profit as a primary motivation. These companies existence are fundamentally designed to use the sale of pharmaceuticals to achieve this primary motive. They are just an acting in accordance with their nature. They strive to sell as many pharmaceuticals for as much profit as possible. It shouldn’t be surprise to anyone.
Therefore, are they truly the worst of the perpetrator?
Could this be like saying a shark should not hunt and kill seals?
Of course, a shark is designed for this primary motivation and it is just being true to itself when it operates in this manner. Don’t get me wrong, I find this distasteful, and I certainly think that individuals working for Big Pharma who knowingly sacrifice people’s health for their companies profits have some serious issues they need help with and need to be held accountable.
Even worse would be public health bureaucrats who are really Big Pharma promoters pretending to be governmental representatives ensuring the populace’s well-being. Hello, Anthony “The Science” Fauci.
This is why I don’t jive with “follow the science”. I’d rather follow my conscience, especially when the science is more like Pfiscience, lacks transparency and is mired in conflicts of interest.
Big Gov
Now let’s get to our ‘benevolent’ government. These guys’ primary motive should be the will and good of the people but that’s the idealistic take. Democracy is defined as government for the people, of the people and by the people… but there’s many a slip between the cup and the lip.
While the government should be about taking care of the people, this often turns to an overreaching paternalism. What might be potentially a relationship of care is more accurately a relationship of control.
Historically, we know the government through its structure, its history, and the essence of power, is an agency with a momentum that strives to perpetuate its power; that is, it strives to maintain being elected and to stay in power. To do this, government aims to create circumstances and conditions in which the people that it rules over are controllable and governable - “peace, order and good government”. This phrase is common throughout Commonwealth countries constitutions. With this directive, government can justify many actions that might suppress the will of sectors of the population to achieve it.
Often, this is what laws seem to come to fruition for. Thus, government can be accurately defined as that which has power over people and in its innate drive to maintain its power (as well as peace, order and good government) it often extends that power for this end.
Thus, it should be no surprise that the government would utilize almost any mechanism in its means to control people and create “order” in a society even if that order comes at the expense of liberty and people’s well-being. Governments primary motivation is order through power.
While in theory democracy should not yield to such abuse, this is far from the reality we live in. It should be clear to anyone that takes stock of the actualities of our political system and society that we live in an oligarchical corporatocracy that makes fairly hollow gestures at being a true democracy.
In light of this, while disappointing that those charged with improving society and representing us are not doing so, we should not be surprised by this either. Again, I think our political representatives and institutions should be held accountable but until we drastically restructure them, this type of incompetence, negligence, and corruption will rear up again and again.
Individuals Responsible
Who else should be held accountable?
Well, there’s individuals that are pharmaceutical representatives or executives, government officials, hospital administrators, independent doctors and scientists, and other individuals of influence, who have been instrumental in perpetuating the harmful interventions and messaging throughout this catastrophe. They are often mechanisms of the machinery of either one of the two aforementioned structures. Yet, they made choices to be cogs in the machine instead of agents of good conscience, reflecting and independently acting as such.
Can we really expect individuals to break free of the structures that provide them with a means of living and pervade almost every aspect of society?
It is a lot to ask. In my opinion, without enough public support and/or societal mechanisms to protect and support whistleblowers and dissent, unfortunately, we would be idealistic to expect too much more of this.
I think the behavior of both Big Pharma and Big Gov were predictable. It should not really surprise us. There is a thick historical record of these types of occurrences.
One unfortunate and perpetuating aspect, is the fact that citizens go along with these systems that give rise to this type of industry and governance (semi-) wittingly. Many even still believe that these forces are benevolent in their intentions. Until we demand better, create and utilizes alternative options, and stop rewarding this behavior, we will continue to get more of the same.
Big Media
It is my opinion, that perhaps it is the media that is the most complicit in these crimes. Not because they are actually committing them but because they have the power to raise awareness and bring a cessation to these acts. I hold this idea even more so because I believe most people expect better from the media as opposed to Big Pharma and Big Gov. If you ask the general public who they trust the least, politicians and pharmaceutical reps will often be mentioned with the greatest frequency.
The term Fourth Estate or fourth power refers to the press and news media both in explicit capacity of advocacy and implicit ability to frame political issues.
The media as the fourth estate has incredible power. It is a vital check and balance against government power and corporate corruption. Its role is to bring awareness and inform the people of how power structures are being used and/or misused.
If the media becomes unequivocally aligned with corporations and government, not questioning them or holding them accountable, they are no longer an independent and reliable support for the people. A compromised media erodes the fabric of a democratic society. Time and time again history has shown us how totalitarian regimes enlist state propaganda to squash dissent, control the will of the people, and expand their power.
Unfortunately, the legacy media has progressively been unified into corporate conglomerates that serve the political and financial agendas of the elite. There are about six mega corporation that control almost all of the mainstream media outlets.
These companies utilize special interest lobby groups to steer their political ‘appointees’ in office. Essentially, our ‘democratically’ elected representatives are more accurately selected by wealthy CEO billionaires and their cronies.
We live in a society in which spurious realities are manufactured by the media, by governments, by big corporations, by religious groups, political groups. I ask, in my writing, 'What is real?' Because unceasingly we are bombarded with pseudo realities manufactured by very sophisticated people using very sophisticated electronic mechanisms.
Philip K. Dick
Many readers here might be well aware of these facts. Some of you might clearly be thinking that this is no surprise and we shouldn’t have expected differently. I would agree, however, there are still many well intentioned citizens who hold these media corporations as the arbiters of truth. These good people are guided by the reporting that is actually propaganda in a thinly veiled disguise. These are the people who support government overreach, corporate dominance, and other subtle mechanisms which erode our civil liberties.
Still, since the proliferation of the internet and the consequent growth of independent media, more and more people have been exposed to alternative perspectives. This has empowered many people who are not part of the ‘in crowd’. Normal people with more knowledge and power is a threat to the rulers of the status quo.
Since the legacy media has continued to progressively fail in their role as the fourth estate, the space has seen a significant rise in ore trusted voices and outlets that fill the void. To counter this revolution and in anticipation of this interfering with the pandemic interventions - which are crimes against humanity in any objective sense - the stakeholders from Event 201 created the Trusted News Initiative (TNI).
To the uninitiated, the TNI might sound like a valuable mechanism to combat “fake news”. However, once one realizes that the mainstream news is filled with agendas and biases that veer far from the objective facts, you can see that this is a dangerous propaganda ploy disguised as a service to truth.
This is not a new or fringe idea. The well-established media literacy works of Noam Chomsky in Manufacturing Consent and Marshall McLuhan’s ideas around “the medium is the message” are far from being successfully refuted.
The most insidious aspect of the TNI is that it amplified these manipulative mechanisms dramatically and in a unified global way. It set out to intentionally destroy any heterodoxical perspective at a time when alternative ideas were incredibly valuable. It is due to this suppression of the independent media, doctors, scientists, concerned citizens, and more that these crimes against humanity could continue for so long and cause such considerable harm.
Note:
I know I keep mentioning crimes against humanity without detailing them. I will do that at some point in the future here and have done so extensively in my social media posts. If you need more ‘meat’ in this regard now, I have touched upon them in some previous articles on my Substack. You could read last week’s article, “What If I am Wrong” or the two others below.
Back to the TNI. For those who have a reflexive repulsion against anything vaguely conspiratorial, I encourage you to look closer at Event 201 and really ask questions like:
Why would a group of agencies and individuals interested in combatting a pandemic have the CIA there?
Why would they form many plans for the implementation of authoritarian measures rather than, for example, the repurposing of existing therapies?
Why would they work so feverishly to have uniform messaging and “lockstep” information?
I could go on and on. Maybe I will another time.
Many of the Event 201 stakeholders have directly benefited and profited from the pandemic measures that saw the greatest wealth transfer in history. Many are associated with the WEF desire for one global government and its Great Reset.
Personally, after extensive research through credible sources - which have not been refuted or legally attacked even though their claims could be construed as defamation (a good sign of legitimacy) - I am very uneasy about this group and their associates.
In fact, while I was writing this, the news came out that RFK, Jr. is spearheading a legal battle against the TNI. I look forward to this and believe it will yield important insights and vindication for a lot of us.
I think this is where we are at. It is a time when a portion of society breaks free of their programming and realizes the trance they’ve been in. A segment of us saw this coming or fairly quickly recognized the BS. Then another segment came around through the overtly irrational and hypocritical aspects of the pandemic management that relentlessly continued without regard to reason. Still, a segment of the population has remained locked in to the One Narrative to Rule Them All. Some will never break free but in 2023, more and more undeniable cracks in the dam are appearing. The flood of truth is growing.
The powers that be are scared. They will continue to push and even throw new ‘monsters’ into the mix. Some will fall for it but many are too awake to their manipulation and are now more immune than ever before.
I see a year of transition ahead. It won’t be easy but many of us are headed in the right direction. We will need to unify and organize. We will need to create our own systems to truly be immune to their power but I don’t think they can actual achieve their goals because of their innate nature of being megalomaniacal sociopaths that cannot tolerate cooperation or soulful reciprocity.
We are up against a giant but all Goliaths fall when the appropriate stone is cast from a slingshot that aims well and with the right intention.
Great piece of writing. I will be sharing, but, unfortunately, this will just pass over their heads. That is why the conspirators are successful - most people can't imagine that they are being manipulated. Then there are those who just ignore everything and stick their heads in the sand. Very sad situation indeed. I am looking forward to seeing just how much the US constitution and the bill of rights will be able to protect us. Even much of the judiciary is clueless and unable to determine whether a witness is in fact an expert. Very scary times.
