Giving Up
Is it time to give up?
Is there any point in continuing?
I’m really not sure but it feels like the opportunities to make a difference have met the tight taper of the law of diminishing returns.
This week I ran into a wall. This wall was immovable. I knew it from the get go.
This wall had seemingly no potential to be shifted. I tried. I tried some more.
I tried to remain balanced and calm in my efforts but I was met with a vitriol that I haven’t encountered in a long time.
Let me be clear here. I am talking about others, strangers, for all intents and purposes. That’s were I feel the effort has ceased to be worth it. Perhaps it ceased long ago. What I’m saying is that at this point in the continuing schism of society, some people might be unreachable.
For a long time I feverishly tried to warn, educate, inspire, WAKE UP as many people as I could. I just wanted everyone to have a fair shot at seeing what I was seeing.
I wanted everyone to have informed consent.
I wanted everyone to recognize the red flags arising and the slippery slope of authoritarianism that is encroaching. I felt like one of the frogs who could feel the heat of the burner while the others lounged in their comfort and convenience as the slow boil commenced in our pot.
Why didn’t I give up trying to awaken others a long time ago? Why didn’t I just accept that they would have to face the fate of their own complacency?
First, I believe we have a responsibility to help our community and improve lives if we can.
Second, I know that if enough people are awakened and united, we can stand up to the forces of authoritarianism, transhumanism, globalism, medical tyranny, and the likes. There is a tipping point. When enough humans recognize the truth and/or galvanize their wills and/or unite with knowledge and action, the small fraction of power hungry, sociopathic forces will be no match.
The effort is worth it. BUT… we can not turn everyone. It is stunning that almost midway through 2023, there are people who believe that Pfizer is a benevolent player on the stage, that our governments care for our health and wellbeing, that the vaccine is a good product “safe and effective”. That I am the one being taken for a ride by disinformation.
I’ve tried to reflect, again and again, to see whether I have missed something. And while I can see certain sway here and there in some of my stances, the tens of gigabytes of files I have amassed of studies, interviews, articles, and data clearly show that this vaccine and this public health effort is nothing short of a failure. In fact, they show that it is more likely an intentional assault on humanity.
I used to claim that the actions of our governments were either incompetence, negligence, or corruption, or some combination of the aforementioned. I still hold this to be true but I believe it is mostly corruption. That is bad.
For those that don’t see it at this point, I think they never will. And thus, it is time for me to let them go. They have to reap what they sow, just as I do. This is especially true for strangers and distant acquaintances. This is much harder to accept for closer friends and family, although I am afraid the time might come for them too.
So, as we move into our third year of pandemic Orwellian insanity, it is time to ration my energy. It is time to be aware of the sunken cost fallacy. It is time to cut the cord.
The energy saved can be used in building. As I said in this article, it is vital that we focus on what we want and not what we don’t want. Regardless of the next storm coming and the bigger plan, building our own resilience, community, resources, skills, knowledge, tools, etc. is probably the most important thing now.
The next person I interact with on the internet or in real life who thinks I am delusional and is eager to get another booster, claim masks work, wants lockdowns to be in the playbook, or thinks we need mandates, is just going to get the “okay, buddy” dismissal. They will live with their choices and I will live with mine.
What do you think? Is it worth it to still try to wake people up and alter their minds and actions?
No. Better to focus on future events. Having said that, I would not hesitate to support anyone whose goal is to prosecute the corrupt. As far as the general population, I too have seen what you described. Even some of my friends whom I considered reasonably smart, just don't get it. Clearly I was wrong about their mental capacity to realize that they have been fooled. I really hope, however, that there still are experts in virology and immunology who continue the fight for the truth. We cannot afford to be continually fooled, and it takes to long to recover from the consequences of such lies.
It's nigh impossible to wake up the sheep at this point. We can continue to wake the other sleeping lions. Also, I'm still looking for my tribe, maybe I will find one I like.
