Embracing Willful Blindness
Is it worth it to pay attention to all the nefarious schemes in the works?
Are we not capable of knowing enough to continue in the same direction on our course of intent regardless of the latest despotic iteration?
Do new glimpses of authoritarian ambitions really change anything?
Some of us have been aware of at least certain aspects of corruption for many years or even decades. Some of us have been “red pilled“ a long time ago. Many of us are not surprised when the latest fiasco arises that seems almost satirical, and certainly worthy of a comic book plot line. We are not surprised by the never ending string of somewhat trivial distractions and media outrage that draw our attention away from more long-standing aspects of the nefarious layers of our society.
Our accuracy on the conspiracy theory scoreboard in the last three years looks like this:
The perpetuation of the military-industrial complex’s drive for endless war, resource hoarding, and ever-expanding authoritarian political control is clear and present. As they say, you can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig. These days it seems some would challenge that assertion.
Is that pig still a pig?
The answer would be obvious in times gone by, and if you asked any of the great philosophers, both of the East and the West, essentially, you’d get a similar answer. However, these days all the pig has to do is identify as something else, and all of a sudden we are not allowed to focus on its ‘pigness’.
To me, once again, this is a distraction. Let me put it bluntly, you can do whatever you want, but expecting people to agree to your perspective, no matter what it is, seems to be highly narcissistic. The world continues to suffer the injuries of war, toxic elections, corporate greed, bureaucratic encroachment, media propaganda, technocratic aspirations of dominance, false flags, coups d’etat, multinational money laundering operations, and more.
Just as it has ever been.
But maybe it’s a little different. Maybe the stakes are higher now. Maybe the exponential rate of change is more pressing as an existential threat. Maybe the power of AI and nuclear war has us playing for keeps.
Three years ago, a pandemic was declared. A small percentage of people foresaw it even before it happened. A tiny bit larger group of people recognized it as it happened. And just a few more still understood the trickery that abound in the early stages of it happening.
Since then, more have awoken to the schemes that are not merely isolated to this plandemic-scamdemic-opportunistic predatory chapter.
There are a significant amount of people that have recognized, in retrospect, that other operations fall in the same vein as this one. In the same way, a global elite transfer wealth, consolidate power, and shift both the geopolitical power structure and the systems that are embedded in society this time around, they have done before.
This is their nature. A leopard never changes its spots.
Here are a couple worthwhile minutes from the recently ‘separated’ from Fox, Tucker Carlson, that touches on this and a bit more. These might be his best words ever.
For those who have studied history long enough, you know this is not the exception but the rule. Thousands of years of history show us that the individual and the plight of the people is so often suppressed by authoritarian ambition. Whether it be monarchs, aristocrats, generals, politicians, corporate robber barons, or other elite classes, the megalomaniacal striving for dominance has not only always been a factor in virtually every society, but it has held the upper hand for the vast majority of recorded of history.
Since the Enlightenment, the Magna Carta, and the various revolutions - like the French, American, and Russian Revolutions - for the most part, there has been a growing freedom for people. Human rights have become real, tangible and protected.
The 20th century was a landmark time of victories over fascism and communism. I’d like to note here that both extremes of left and right are identical in practice. They both rob the everyday person of opportunity and freedom. The last century had its victories, and, of course, its atrocities as well. You would think that would be enough for us to stay vigilant, to have no illusion of the lack of innate benevolence in those that aspire to govern in whatever form of government. Alas, it seems the masses are apathetic, complacent, and suffer from short and long term amnesia.
All this is to say, are there really are any surprises coming down the pipeline? Tyrants will be tyrants. Megalomaniacs will continue to tread on people and operate in sociopathic, if not psychopathic, ways.
Do we really need to pay attention to the latest plot on the daily? On the weekly? At all?
Some might say that this is surrender, that this is suicide, that this is a surefire recipe for losing all we have fought for.
That might be true, if we are doing nothing. But if we are doing nothing other than being mesmerized by corruption, malevolence and evil, then are we better off than if we just ignored it?
I might argue we are in the same boat, and potentially happier and better support for our family, friends, and community.
However, we could be doing things. Regardless of how much we know of the plots of the most nefarious, a few more details and a few more plots are unlikely to change the game but I think taking personal responsibility and building fortitude will.
When we build strength physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and in relationships, we are more ready than we ever will be by just gaining more knowledge of what might be coming.

They say knowledge is power. I disagree. I think knowledge is potential power. I think knowledge put into appropriate action is power. Deciphering which knowledge is holding one back from taking action might be seen as wisdom.
If we are going to continue to study the moves of tyrants, then I think doing what immunologist Byram Bridle has done in this presentation is the way to do it. He has taken action, dismantled the attack, and armed others with a resource to defend themselves with. I think this is brilliant!
In my opinion, instead of spending hours every day trying to figure out the next chess move, start building your own board and table, literally and figuratively. There is no way to know every single plan and alternate plan of those who thirst for dominance, but there are lots of ways to build up your resources and prepare for whatever is coming or even not coming.
That is what I believe we should do. What do you suggest?
